ABOUT TRIPLE-X RASHIES

Triple-X Aquatic Clothing Co was established by surfer and entrepreneur businessman Don Munro during the year of 1993. Before Triple-X Don founded and established Mango Surfwear as one of the surfing worlds major surf brands. His vision with both labels was to create a hardcore family business, that would allow for his children and/or his grandchildren to enjoy the freedom and vocational choice of a career suited to their own lifestyle.

For the first 5 years the business concentrated on manufacturing and marketing sun protective aquatic clothing for the beach and greater outdoors. Rashvests, rash shirts or ‘rashies’ as they are more commonly known soon became their number one seller.

All Triple-X products are Australian Made and manufactured from the worlds best quality Eco-Friendly Italian Lycra constructed from 100% regenerated material.

Apart from marketing the Triple-X brand of products, a corporate branding service was introduced to supply the specialised logo requirements of surf and specialty retailers, board riding clubs, surf schools, SLSC, high schools, aquatic centres as well as advertising and merchandising agencies etc. The corporate branding service is now the biggest side of the business. Some of the Australian companies to have used this service are Surfection, Saltwater Wine, Kelloggs, Coca-Cola, along with overseas clients in the US, Tahiti, Hawaii and Reunion Island.

The Triple-X business and family philosophy was born from and has ultimately been the need to maintain the status-quo of the “watersports lifestyle”. Don has surfed and dived since the mid fifties, he has worked in the surfing industry over 45 years. Beginning with designing surfwear from the mid-late sixties into the eighties along with shaping and making surfboards in the early-mid seventies.
